Being involved in a LifeGroup is the primary opportunity for you to connect relationally, experience fellowship, and grow spiritually. LifeGroups consist of 15-20 adults who gather weekly in homes across our area. There are different groups that meet on different nights of the week. Each meeting includes times of fellowship, prayer, and various topics and conversations about following Christ.
LifeGroups are all about building relationships.  We hope the connections and friendships made in LifeGroups will grow beyond the normal weekly meetings.  We also offer men’s and women’s events throughout the year to help cultivate relationships.
Our LifeGroups discuss and cover a wide variety of topics.  Many of our groups use RightNow Media for video series studies.  RightNow Media is also available for individuals and families within our church to use on their own.  If you have any questions, send us a message and we will help you get started with it.
Children are the next generation of our church, so we want to partner with parents to help them raise their children to be devoted followers of Christ.  While we offer many different programs and opportunities to help disciple children, we believe in family structure and the relationships parents have with their own kids.  We send out emails every week summarizing what we teach during our Sunday gathering times so that parents continue to cultivate the faith of their children.
Approximately 70% of Americans who come to Christ do so between the ages of 4 and 14.  With that in mind, we want to invest as much as we can into kids during this window of time.  4-14 has two main focuses, Kids Equip and Kids Worship.  Kids Equip meets during the normal Equip hour at 9:00 on Sunday mornings.  These classes are age-specific.  Kids Worship dismisses half way through our Sunday gathering and is for ages 4-10.  We also value partnering with parents, so we send out a summary of what the kids are learning each week for the parents to be able to continue to teach and reinforce.
We value and care for teenagers as well.  On Wednesday nights we offer Bro Life and G1.  Bro Life is for guys and meets at 6:30pm.  G1 is for girls and meets at 7:00pm.  Each of those are for 7th grade and up and meet at different locations.  On Sunday mornings we offer an age-specific Equip class for middle schoolers while high school aged students are encouraged to be apart of adult classes or volunteer in kids’ classes.
We are passionate about reaching the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ.  Our Local Outreach team works to create opportunities for us to spread the love and story of Christ in Norfolk and surrounding areas.  The International Outreach team helps care for our partners around the world.  We are currently partnered with more than 25 workers in 7 different countries.
One primary initiative of our Local Outreach strategy is Jefferson Elementary School.  We have adopted this school in hopes of being able to care for students, help support the teachers, and make the families and surrounding area feel loved.  Send us a message if you would like more details on how you can get involved at Jefferson.
We support and help care for workers all around the globe.  But we also value providing the opportunity for our people to be able to go on missions.  Beginning in the Fall of 2018, we will be sending 2-3 teams a year to Haiti to cultivate relationships and help spread the love of Christ through many different projects.  If you are interested in being a part of the next team send us a message.
